Dr. Aparna Hegde

Dr. Aparna’s background includes ten years of academic, clinical and grassroots experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and public health. Dr. Aparna has an MD, DNB, FCPS and DGO in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Sion Hospital, Mumbai University and is a trained advanced endoscopic surgeon with a diploma in the same from BEAMS, Mumbai. She also holds a masters degree in Biology from Stanford University, USA and has worked as a research assistant in the REI department at Stanford. She was awarded the International Urogynecological Association (IUGA) clinical fellowship for the year 2011 and she plans to complete the same at the Urogynecological and pelvic floor center at the Cleveland Clinic, USA before returning to India for good in 2012.
Aparna has volunteered with various NGOs since her teenage years and while working as a faculty member in the Obgyn department of Sion hospital, she was an integral member of the core team of SNEHA that designed the City Initiative for Newborn Health. She conceptualized and drafted the master plan for the same and later worked as a consultant for the Referral Project.

Mr. Srinivaas V. Sirigeri

Srinivaas comes from a business family having hands on experience in business right from his teenage.
His forte as an entrepreneur lies in his innovativeness and his sound strategy development cum execution. He has been an accredited consultant/associate to a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India since 1995.He has been a nodal consultant for the above PSU to steer CARE & USAID projects for monetization of the aid by way of vegetable oils from Canada & USA .
Combining his degrees in Commerce & Law with his deep passion towards social & public causes he has actively contributed to the society via many NGOs in the field of Education, Health and public governance.

Dr. Shanti Pantvaidya
Technical Advisor

Dr Shanti Pantvaidya, MD, DA. She was a medical teacher for 35 years and served as Professor and Head of Anaesthesiology Services at LTMG Hospital for 20 years, where she was instrumental in establishing and coordinating the Emergency Medical Services at LTMG Hospital. She has been a Project Coordinator at SNEHA, looking at standardizing and implementing clinical maternal and newborn services in public hospitals through the City Initiative for Newborn Health project. She is currently a trustee for SNEHA and ARMMAN and also a consultant for the Sure Start project of PATH International and SNEHA in Mumbai.

Dr. Srikrishna Solgudu Ramachandra
Consultant, Evaluation and Monitoring

Srikrishna has an MD (Community Medicine) from St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore, and an MPH from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, New Orleans, USA. He is also currently pursuing a PhD at the School of Health and Social Development, Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia.
Being an epidemiologist and a public health physician, he has around ten years of experience in clinical and preventive work related to Public Health. Prior to working with PHFI, he has worked with agencies like UNICEF, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Family Health International and Canadian International Development Agency.

Dr. Dayashankar Maurya

Dayashankar is currently completing in Health Policy at National University of Singapore. He also has masters degree in Public Policy and a MBA in Health Management. He has over five years experience of working in public health . He has worked with International NGO's and UN agencies in India , Thailand and Cambodia.
He has experience of working in HIV, Maternal and Child Health and Reproductive Health.His research interests include private sector participation in health care and health systems research.

Dr. Shailesh Kore
Consultant Gynecologist

With MBBS, MD, DNB, MNAMS, FCPS, DGO, DFP, DICOG, MICOG; Dr. Kore is working as Associate Professor, at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College and General Hospital (Sion) in Mumbai. He is running a recognized Fetal Medicine Centre& Genetic Clinic in the hospital for last 10 years. Dr. Kore is a recognized postgraduate teacher for Mumbai University and MUHS (MD, DGO), College of Physicians and Surgeons (DGO, FCPS, DFP) and National Board (DNB). He is also an Examiner/ Convener/ Paper setter for MBBS, DGO, MD, for Mumbai University, MUHS, Gujrat , Saurashtra & other universities in India along with being member of panel of paper setters for postgraduate MH-CET. Dr. Kore is an active member of MOGS and FOGSI. He has delivered more than 40 Invited Guest lectures/ Presentations at various conferences, seminar at local, state & national level. Additionally he has presented more than 20 scientific free papers, many of them winning prizes at various conferences, seminar at local, state & national level. Dr. Kore has more than 80 scientific publications in various Journals and contributed many chapters in various books on Obstetrics, Fetal Medicine and Ultrasonography.

Animation & Video for TVCs, Virals, Films; Corporate identity design, Illustration, Photography for Print and Video, Interface design to name a few. Ever since her student years in MSU, Baroda and NID, Ahmedabad, she sees her designs speak more profoundly when they speak for a cause and that is what connects her to Armman, involuntarily.

Maitreyee Dasgupta
Media Consultant

Maitreyee has been working in the entertainment/media industry for more than ten years. Her vigorous and equally cohesive approach to working reasons the vivid range of roles she has been busy playing all along. Supervising Producer, Line Producer, Production Manager, Writer-Director; only to name a few.
While she holds creditable part in some of the well recognized films of our times like Aamir (2008), Dev D (2009), `Migration` an HIV AIDS awareness film directed by Mira Nair; and hit shows on Channel [V] like [V] First Day First Show, Very [V], [V] Jumpstart, [V] Junglee Jukebox; she still nurtures the very same fresh approach and ever-on enthusiasm to get it just 'right'.
Maitreyee majored in History (2000) at Ramnarain Ruia College, Mumbai; and did her Masters in Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology (2006) from Deccan College - Post Graduate and Research Institute, Pune.

Anuj Garg

Anuj Garg – Co-Founder and CEO of Inscripts, Anuj manages the business of technology at Inscripts. He has completed his Masters in Commerce and is currently 'notionally' pursuing his PhD in “Financial Inclusion: Index, Tests and Technology”. He has been featured in top media publications such as TOI, HT, ET, Rediff, Zee Networks etc. He is one of the youngest team members of ARMMAN - and is quick to get into heated discussions with Dr. Aparna; without worrying about the repercussions! An avid photographer, writer and stage musician, Anuj pursues his 24 hour day job as an entrepreneur along with his zest for ideas and ventures that make a difference.

Siddharth Sirigeri
President - Youth Wing

Siddharth Sirigeri has been actively involved with a mumbai based NGO, Jaago India Movement(JIM) for the past three years during which, he has organized two voter registration camps and set up help kiosks at the voting centers during the recent lok sabha and assembly elections, making the entire voting process a cake walk for the voters. All this was done in an endeavor to increase the voter turn around (which was successfully achieved in suburban region of Powai, Mumbai) amongst the educated class and help them make an informed choice.

He has done his electronics engineering from Mumbai University and since his graduation in july 2007, he has developed his skills as a trader in the international edible oil business. He has been involved with the admin activities of ARMMAN right from its inception and helped in getting all the requisite clearances that is mandatory for an NGO in india. Currently he is among the core group of Project HERO and is actively associated with the overall activities of Armman.
